Turn your trip photos and clips into a travel recap

Trips come back as hundreds of photos and a handful of phone clips in no particular order. StoryMaker reads the date each one was taken, so the recap follows the trip day by day in one click. Add a song that sums the trip up and it does the pacing for you.

How to do it

  1. 1

    Pick the soundtrack

One song for a short recap, or several cross-faded tracks for a longer one (Creator and Pro).

  2. 2

    Drop in the trip

Photos and clips together. “Oldest first” puts them in the order you lived them.

  3. 3

    Add a title

The destination and the year on a title card; a closing card for the people you travelled with.

  4. 4

Export for where you'll share it

Vertical for Stories and Reels, landscape for family on the TV.

Tips for a better result

Prune before you add

Pick the best 30–60 moments. A tight recap is watched to the end; a long one is skipped.

Mix in movement

A few short clips between photos — waves, a street, a train window — make the recap feel like being there.

Check the dates

Photos sent over messaging apps can lose their capture date; StoryMaker falls back to the file date, so give them a glance after sorting.

Formats

Vertical 9:16 for Stories and Reels, landscape 16:9 for YouTube and the TV, 4:5 for the Instagram feed.

Private by design

Your trip stays yours: nothing is uploaded while you make it.
