Questions
Are my photos, videos and music uploaded anywhere?
No. StoryMaker renders your video inside your browser, on your own device. Your media is never uploaded to our servers — we never see it.
Do I need an account?
Not to build a video. You can add your soundtrack and media, arrange everything and get it ready without signing in. A free account is needed when you export.
Which files can I use?
Audio: MP3 and WAV. Photos: JPG, PNG and WebP. Video clips: MP4 and WebM. Clips are muted so your soundtrack plays.
Can I use any song?
Use music you own or have the rights to use. Streaming services such as Spotify don't allow their tracks to be downloaded or put into videos, so StoryMaker works with audio files you upload.
How long can my video be?
Up to 2 minutes on Free, 10 minutes on Creator, and unlimited on Pro. The video's length follows your soundtrack.
Which formats can I export?
Landscape 16:9 for YouTube, vertical 9:16 for Reels, TikTok and Shorts, portrait 4:5 for the Instagram feed, and square 1:1 — as an MP4 file. Free exports at 720p; Creator and Pro at 1080p.
Can I cancel a paid plan?
Yes, anytime, from your account page. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you've paid for.
